People
say “I want peace.” If you remove I (ego), and your want
(desire), you are left with peace. --Satya Sai Baba
It
is a chilly Friday morning. The sky is absolutely clear of cloud or
jet trail, of bird or plane; perhaps the gusty wind has blown them
all away. There is some birdsong to be heard between the dog
barkings – here in my own backyard and distant yards unseen and a
few passing by as they walk their people bundled against the 46°F
temperature. The grass is still green and lush but the red maples are
now nearly bald and the little wood across the street turned from
green to yellow to gone in a week. Even the bushes of bright yellow
mums are beginning to show their age. The world smells of sterility
and finish, dampness near the fountain but nothing on the breeze.
Such a peaceful world on this armistice day celebrating peace. Oh,
here come the trash trucks, so we head inside to warmth and the aroma
of new coffee and old incense. With a cup of creamy decaf sweet on
my tongue and thoughts of you sweet on my mind, I sit down to write
to you. Life is good.
Hope
your weekend folds into beautiful days, ePistliers.

The
Bloody Benders Live On of the Week:
More on Benders: I am
listed as a contributor to a book titled "Blooody Benders"
written by Robert Aldeman about 1968. A much better book is
titled "Death for Dinner" by Garza. She did a
wonderful job and if interested in the subject and the mystery of
what happened to the Benders I suggest Garza's book which came out
about three years ago. Just google "Death for Dinner" and
you will find out more about the book.

taller than he is. I'll get a picture soon.
