ways to promote peace #14: Think about other people's intentions vs
their outcomes.
It
is a chilly (29°F) Friday morning in Lawrence, Kansas. The sky is
without a single cloud or jet trail, but abounds with birds of all
sizes and voices. The newly greened grass is muted with a thin layer
of white frost but daffodils don't seem to notice the weather at all.
Puck chases and lectures a squirrel who sportingly waited for him to
be released from his leash before running along the fence and over
the shed and up the tree to be gone. In the flowering pear tree just
poking out it's buds, a gray and black finch sits watching me, she is
deciding whether or not I mean her harm. A cardinal calls loudly
from the top of the larger tree and sparrows begin to gather. The
finch flies away without moving to the feeder. I walk further away
from the feeder so as not to frighten hungry breakfasters. The
ground is muddy not frozen and I walk carefully though the dusted
grass. There is no wind and so the temperature is not insistent,
Puck has stopped barking and taken up a detailed sniff around the rim
of the storage shed making sure the resident opossum isn't readying
an attack my ankles. Alas, the sound of trash pick up drives nears
and sends us back inside. Ah, freshly brewed coffee welcomes us.
Puck noisily slurps his morning milk and I doctor my Moose Munch so
that I can sit here with sweetened bitterness on my tongue and
thoughts of you in my mind. What a great day!

Drumpf’s son Donald Jr. is making headlines after it was reported

it turns out, on "The Apprentice" there was something even

March 30 was/is the Festival of Salus, the Roman goddess of public

symbolic of the practice of medicine. Her role in the pantheon was to
feed and care for her father’s sacred snakes and act as his
