It
is a cold (24°F) Friday morning. There is a small sliver of bright
light in the southeast; the rest of the sky is dark and covered with
darker clouds that have streaks of light dark between them. Birds are
silent and only the sound of traffic far away joins the sounds of
wind through the trees, through the fence, through my scarf. Even
Puck, keeping watch at the corner near the storage shed, makes no
noise but moves like a white shadow, restlessly pacing the perimeter.
Pax comes to join us and he and Puck chase about the yard playing
dog games. But the wind begins to work its way between my sleeve and
my glove and around my hat so that I am cold and we return to the
warmth, the light, the indoors. It smells of fresh brewed Moose
Munch; always delightful, and home. Not always delightful. And now,
cup of sweet, popcorny decaf and a space heater nearby, I get to sit
down and write to you. Wow, a hoot and half.
Hope
your weekend involves something worth picketing, ePistliers.

Spiritual
Activism
is the coming together of spirituality and activism. It
is not about any form of dogma; it is simply activism that comes from
the heart, not just the head, activism that is compassionate,
positive, kind, fierce and trans-formative. It focuses as much on
what we are for, as on what we are against.
