It is a wet Friday morning.  Sunlight is only just arriving behind the layers of clouds.  The highest level we can see is thick and gray but other closer layers are thin and nearly black.  The world seems as if it is just forming around the pools of matter illuminated by the street lamp on the corner.  The decorative boulder in the neighbor's yard surrounds itself with gravel and foliage and then adds a driveway for utility.  Puck is on the deck not wanting to dampen his tootsies with the leftovers of last night's rain.  Traffic dominates the sound track until a dozen geese fly overhead honking to clear a path.  They are flying north. ??  North seems to be the place to be the lower clouds are hurrying there themselves.  A breeze gently anoints me with left over rain from the tree leaves and a bunny rabbit that I had not seen before races by and is gone under the storage shed.  What a delightful start to a day.  Only the call of artificially sweetened but really creamed decaf and thoughts of you call me back in from the delicious 71°F morning.
Hope your weekend is wonderfully weird, ePistliers.

It is a clear Friday morning.  The grass is scattered with diamond dew drops.  The light slants from the east and takes the shape of whatever lies between ground and rising sun: graceful lines between the fence posts and large blobs between the trees.  The 58°F is absolutely perfect for a morning walk or a morning watch in the backyard.  The school buses have come and gone so Puck no longer needs to stand watch against the invading hordes of students and has retired to the deck to sit in one of the puddles of sunlight.  The birdsong is largely in the little wood across the street and the feeders are quiet.  Instead the morning sounds of cars...this one, here two, a big one now...rushing off for one last day of work and before the long weekend.  What a very pleasant morning;  I could easily stay here all day.  But I return to the indoors, the smell of  brewing coffee sweetened and creamy. Best of all, now I'm writing to you.
